GeForce GTX 1080 Ti vs GeForce GTX 1660
Measured verdict
- GTX 1080 Ti is 42% faster at 1080p Medium (110.2 vs 77.8 FPS)
- GTX 1080 Ti is 56% faster at 1080p Ultra (66.4 vs 42.6 FPS)
- GTX 1080 Ti is 66% faster at 1440p Ultra (50.2 vs 30.3 FPS)
Tom's Hardware GPU hierarchy, 2022–24 suite, read 5 Oct 2026. Average FPS, the geometric mean of eight games — Borderlands 3, Far Cry 6, Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Total War: Warhammer 3, Watch Dogs Legion — on a Core i9-12900K.
Tom's Hardware's 2022–24 suite has the GTX 1080 Ti 56% ahead at 1080p Ultra (66.4 vs 42.6 FPS) and 66% ahead at 1440p Ultra. Support cuts both ways. CD PROJEKT RED chose the GTX 1660 as the minimum NVIDIA card for The Witcher 3 Remastered because Pascal cards like the 1080 Ti no longer get Game Ready drivers, but the 1660's 6 GB of video memory is below the 8 GB that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's minimum asks for, which the 1080 Ti's 11 GB clears. Neither card has ray-tracing hardware, so neither can run DOOM: The Dark Ages.

Specs
Game by game
A game we hold a benchmark table for is shown at that table’s settings. A card the table measured shows its measured number, the same on every page; a card it didn’t is fitted: placed between the measured cards either side of it in speed, so it is also the same on every page. The gap is shown only where both cards were measured.
Modelled rows have no benchmark table: GamerSpecs estimates at 1080p, each game at its own page settings. They all share one ratio: our calibrated scores put the GTX 1660 at 0.62× the GTX 1080 Ti (52 vs 84, RTX 4060 = 100), so a row differs only where the game’s own limit applies.

Fitted and modelled figures are estimates; frame generation is never counted. How is this calculated?
300+ FPS: This is the graphics card's limit. The game's own frame cap or your CPU will often set the real number.
