FPS Estimate Disclaimer

FPS values displayed on GamerSpecs are estimates. Actual game performance may vary depending on hardware configuration, drivers, cooling, power limits, background applications, and game updates.

Estimates, not guarantees

Every FPS value on GamerSpecs is an estimate produced by a deterministic model. It is intended as guidance for comparing hardware and settings, not as a guaranteed benchmark result.

What the model will and will not print

The catalog estimator — the one behind the Can-I-Run, GPU and upcoming-game pages — reports between 20 and 300 FPS. Where a result falls outside that range, those pages show "under 20" / "<20" or "300+" instead of a figure — a clamped bound is not an estimate, and printing it as one would be inventing a number the model never produced. (A figure a published benchmark measured is not the model's, and is printed as published, without the "~" that marks an estimate.) "300+" also means the graphics card has stopped being the limiting factor: your CPU, the game's own frame cap or your display will decide what you actually see.

Predicted requirements for unreleased games (everything under Upcoming Games and GTA 6) are modelled from comparable titles, are labelled as predictions on the page, and will change when official specs are published.

Why real performance varies

  • GPU and CPU driver versions and firmware.
  • Thermals, cooling and sustained power limits (especially on laptops).
  • Background applications, overlays and browser tabs.
  • Game patches, engine updates and in-game areas or scenes.
  • Memory speed, dual-channel configuration and storage type.
