The free Remastered update on 29 September 2026 made The Witcher 3 noticeably heavier: ComputerBase measured the same cards 18–30% slower than in the previous next-gen version, and at 1440p with maximum details and Performance upscaling, an RTX 4060 averaged 52 FPS, an Arc B580 60 and an RTX 4070 76. Towns and villages full of NPCs are limited by the processor: ComputerBase found even a Ryzen 7 9800X3D couldn't keep an RTX 5090 busy there at 4K, so frame rates can dip below those figures.
