1. Accepting these terms

By using gamerspecs.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. They apply to everyone — there is no account to create and nothing to sign.

2. What GamerSpecs is

GamerSpecs is an independently operated website that publishes PC gaming hardware information: system-requirement checks, estimated frame rates, hardware rankings, settings guidance, calculators and editorial articles. It is free to use, supported by advertising, and requires no account. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated on behalf of any game developer, publisher, storefront or hardware manufacturer.

3. Estimates, not guarantees — read this one

This is the most important term on the page, because it is the one most likely to cost you money if you ignore it.

• Frame rates are modelled, not measured. Our engine scores your hardware against reference tiers and each game's demand profile. Nobody ran the game on your PC. The full method is published at How our FPS estimates work.
• The catalog model has bounds. The estimator behind the Can-I-Run, GPU and upcoming-game pages reports between 20 and 300 FPS. Results outside that range are shown as "under 20" / "<20" or "300+" rather than as a number, because at that point the figure would be the bound rather than an estimate. A figure a published benchmark measured is printed as published, without the "~" that marks an estimate.
• Some figures are predictions for unreleased games. Everything under Upcoming Games and GTA 6 is modelled against requirements that have not been published by the developer. Each of those pages says so on the page. Treat them as informed guesses that will change when official specs land.
• Requirement checks follow the published spec sheet. A pass/fail compares your hardware against the minimum and recommended specs as published by the developer. A spec sheet is a floor, not a promise, and developers do revise them.
• FPS values displayed on GamerSpecs are estimates. Actual game performance may vary depending on hardware configuration, drivers, cooling, power limits, background applications, and game updates.

Nothing on GamerSpecs is purchasing advice, professional advice or a benchmark result. Verify against independent testing of the exact hardware before you buy.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape at a rate that degrades the service, or attempt to disrupt, probe or overload it.
• Do not republish our estimates as measured benchmark results, or present them as anyone else's data.
• Do not use the feedback form to submit unlawful, abusive or personal-data content.
• Do not attempt to access the administrative area or any non-public endpoint.

Quoting a figure with a link back to the page it came from is welcome and needs no permission. Bulk copying of the catalogue is not.

5. Our content, and other people's

The written articles, guides, methodology, rankings and the structure of the data set on this site belong to GamerSpecs. Game titles, cover art, screenshots, logos, trademarks and published system requirements belong to their respective developers, publishers and rights holders; game metadata and requirement text are sourced from the public Steam store listings and are reproduced for the purpose of comparison and commentary. Hardware names and trademarks belong to their manufacturers. If you hold rights in something published here and want it changed or removed, email contact@gamerspecs.com and we will deal with it.

6. Advertising and third-party links

GamerSpecs is funded by advertising served through a third-party partner, described in our Privacy Policy. We do not control which ads appear and an ad is not an endorsement. The site also links to external pages — storefronts, manufacturer documentation, news reporting — whose content and policies are not ours. We carry no affiliate links and we do not accept payment for placement, ranking or a favourable verdict; see About for how that is kept separate.

7. Availability

The site is provided as-is and as-available. Pages, tools, data and URLs may change or be withdrawn without notice, and we do not guarantee uptime, accuracy or that any particular game or piece of hardware will remain covered.

8. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GamerSpecs is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the estimates are correct for your hardware.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GamerSpecs and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any hardware purchase, upgrade, refund, lost time or lost data arising from reliance on information published here. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you and nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Corrections

If a verdict, a requirement or an estimate is wrong for hardware you actually own, tell us on the feedback page. Corrections that change published data are recorded on the changelog.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and material changes are noted on the changelog. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
