Is 8GB of RAM enough for gaming?+

For the games on this list, yes — their official requirements fit within 8GB. Many modern AAA titles want 16GB though, so close background apps and browser tabs while playing on an 8GB system.

Will more RAM increase my FPS?+

Only if RAM is currently your bottleneck. Going from 8GB to 16GB mainly removes stutter, long loads and background-app pressure rather than raising average FPS — but when a game exceeds your RAM, the difference is dramatic.
